These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Templer ("we", "our", or "us"), accessible at templer.io and app.templer.io (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Templer is a document generation platform that allows you to:
- Upload document templates (Word, Excel, PDF).
- Generate documents by filling template fields through web forms, CSV batch processing, or REST API.
- Share public forms for document generation.
- Manage templates and generated documents.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- One person or organization may maintain multiple accounts only through the Teams feature.
3. Subscription Plans and Payments
- The Service offers free and paid subscription plans with different features and usage limits.
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe.
- You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@templer.io for refund requests.
- Generation quotas reset monthly and do not roll over.
4. Your Content
- Ownership: You retain full ownership of all templates, documents, and data you upload or generate through the Service.
- License to us: You grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service, such as storing templates and generating documents.
- Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you upload, including templates based on third-party formats.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
- Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use the Service to distribute malware or harmful content.
- Exceed your plan's usage limits through automated means designed to circumvent restrictions.
- Resell access to the Service without our written consent.
6. Public Forms
- When you create a public form, anyone with the link can submit data and generate documents using your template.
- You are responsible for the content and configuration of your public forms.
- Generated documents through public forms count toward your monthly generation quota.
- Public forms may display "Powered by Templer" branding depending on your subscription plan.
7. API Usage
- API access is available on plans that include it.
- API usage is subject to the same plan limits as web usage.
- You must keep your API tokens secure and not share them publicly.
- We reserve the right to rate-limit or suspend API access that impacts Service stability.
8. Document Retention
- Generated documents are stored for 24 hours and then automatically deleted.
- We are not responsible for documents not downloaded within the retention period.
- Templates are stored as long as your account is active.
9. Library Templates
- Templates available in the Templer Library are provided as-is for convenience.
- Some library templates may be based on official forms subject to changes by their issuing entities. Always verify that a template version is current before use in official or legal contexts.
- Templer is not responsible for the accuracy or legal validity of documents generated from library templates.
10. Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legal validity of documents you generate.
11. Service Availability
- We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
- We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability, with advance notice when possible.
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
12. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@templer.io.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
- Upon termination, your templates and data will be deleted. Generated documents follow the standard 24-hour retention policy.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Templer operates. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
